10-minute Matcha Pancakes Recipe

All these experiments help me curate, sometimes borrow some fun matcha recipes that you matcha enthusiasts will love! 

Matcha pancakes, anyone? 

So the other morning, I was craving something cozy but also cool (because that’s the vibe, right?). And voilà ,these Quick Matcha Pancakes happened. They’re fluffy, slightly sweet, and give you that gentle matcha kick that whispers “you’ve got this” better than your ex ever did. Perfect for lazy mornings or when you just want to treat yourself because you survived the week.

 

 

Here’s the magic formula

Serves: 2-3 | Prep Time: 5 mins | Cook Time: 10 mins

 

What You'll Need?

 

  • 1 cup Pillsbury Pancake Mix (because we don’t gatekeep shortcuts)
  • ¾ cup milk (a little more or less depending on your mood… and your batter)
  • 1 to 1.5 tsp matcha powder (I go 1.5 tsp because I like drama)
  • 1 tbsp melted butter or ghee (some goes in the batter, some for the pan - butter multitasks too!)

Optional but highly recommended:

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp honey or sugar (if you’re in a sweet phase)

 

 

How to go about it ?

 

Step 1 : Keep it Dry First

In a bowl, mix the pancake mix and matcha powder. Make sure the green goodness is well blended and not just chilling in a corner.

Step 2 : Here comes the milk

Slowly add milk while stirring. We’re aiming for that smooth but slightly thick consistency. Like, not too runny, not too thick.

Step 3 : Flavour party!

Add the melted butter (or ghee), vanilla, and honey/sugar if you're feeling sweet. Mix it up again till everyone’s getting along.

Step 4 :Time to sizzle

Heat a non-stick pan on medium. Grease it with a little butter or ghee – just enough to make the pancake dance, not drown.

Step 5 : The moment of truth

Pour a ladleful of batter. Let it cook until little bubbles pop on the surface. Flip! Cook the other side till golden and fabulous.

Step 6 :Serve hot

 Dress them up with honey, maple syrup, whipped cream, or (no shame) a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Whatever makes you feel fancy.

Well, they’ve got matcha, which means antioxidants, a gentle caffeine kick, and that healthy aura people post about on Instagram. Pair it with good stuff like whole grains and less sugar, and boom , your breakfast is basically doing yoga.

How do I make matcha pancakes vegan?

Oh, easy peasy!
Swap out dairy milk with almond, oat, or whatever plant-based milk you vibe with. Ditch eggs and bring in flaxseed meal (aka flax eggs) or mashed bananas. Use vegan butter or oils instead of the dairy kind. Voilà -vegan, green, and still delicious.
